Over 20% of the U.S. population speaks a language other than English. The plethora of health education materials distributed by healthcare organizations can present quite the challenge to these non-native English speakers. Additionally, cultural differences in healthcare philosophies and practices can equally impact the ability ethnically diverse audiences have to fully learn and understand information about vital healthcare issues.
